#Zoo tycoon 2 unlock everything series
The Zookeeper in Training series of levels serve as the sort of tutorial for the entire game. I’d say it’s best to start with the Campaign Mode. You can play through the Campaign Mode to unlock more items to use in the other modes such as Sandbox. When launching Zoo Tycoon, you’re met with a few different options. It’s Easy to Get Started, and Will Totally Hook You in Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate I want a smooth game play experience with easy and fun mechanics. I’m not playing my zoo building game for hyper-realistic graphics. The old visuals with (let’s be honest, kind of ugly) cartoonish humans and animals just add to the experience. With all expansions, you’re able to create a safari tour, make marine animal shows and actually train said animals, and even make your own version of Jurassic Park. You can currently purchase it on Amazon for twenty dollars – though there are often sales. They went on to release three expansion packs for Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species in 2005, the African Adventure and Marine Mania in 2006, and Extinct Animals in 2007.Įach expansion added a lot to the game and I wholeheartedly believe that the Ultimate Collection version is worth it. Blue Fang Studios released it only three years after the original Zoo Tycoon. Rather, there’s something so charming about this game. Perhaps it’s my nostalgia clouding my judgement to some extent, but I don’t think so. It’s hard to put into words exactly why I still love the 2004 installment of Zoo Tycoon. You might be wondering how a game from 2004 is better than a game from 2017. I’m also quite familiar with the similar Rollercoaster Tycoon series – I’m a bit of a Tycoon connoisseur. I have played almost every version of Zoo Tycoon – from the original in 2001 to the Nintendo DS versions and even the XBox versions. There might be several newer installments in the Zoo Tycoon franchise, but the best game remains Zoo Tycoon 2 from 2004. My zoo from the first campaign mode, image courtesy Blue Fang Studios.
